Press Release: NHMA Applies for Grants
July 2004 -
The N.H. Mushers Association has applied for grants to fund a financial impact
survey. The survey will be professionally designed to document how much money the
mushing community brings into the state of New Hampshire.
The goal of this survey,
which may be a first in the nation for the mushing community, is to present a
financial statement showing that mushers have a significantly positive financial
impact on New Hampshire's economy. The survey's final economic figures will help to
gain strong advocacy group status for the NHMA enabling greater pull on the
political level. With this economic statement behind us, the NH musher's voice will
have strength in the legislative setting similar to that of the state's other
established trail-user groups.
A press release will go out prior to the mailing of
the survey which should be issued this fall, 2004.
